The Belleville Three (Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson) will return home for a special show.
They are credited with creating the genre of techno in the early 1980s in Belleville, Michigan.
Juan Atkins’ group Cybotron released Clear in 1983, often considered one of the foundational proto-techno tracks. Atkins later released music as Model 500, helping define the futuristic machine-driven techno sound.
Derrick May’s 1987 track Strings of Life became one of the most iconic techno records ever made.
Kevin Saunderson brought a more dancefloor and house-oriented sound with projects like Inner City.
