Established in 1976, the WPBA (Women’s Professional Billiard Association) is one of the oldest pro organizations in pool.
Come see some of the top-ranked women in the world battle it out at the WPBA Masters Tournament at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan!
This is a women’s pro 9-ball tournament. They play best out of 9 games in double elimination format on eight 9-foot Diamond tables.
At 210,000 square feet, Soaring Eagle is the 8th largest casino in the USA.
Fun Fact:
Noted billiards veteran Ewa Mataya Laurance (aka: the Striking Viking), of Swedish-American heritage, used to live in Grand Ledge, Michigan. In 1982, she was a bunny at the Playboy Club at the Hilton Inn in Lansing. She was there when musician Tiny Tim played the club on Valentine’s Day!
