Walpole Algonac Ferry

Not many people know about the Walpole Algonac Ferry.

You can drive your car onto this ferry and (if you have a passport) take it to and from Algonac, Michigan and Wallaceburg, Walpole Island, Ontario, Canada.

The trip is 0.9 miles across the St. Clair River and typically takes about 7 minutes.

This ferry has been providing international transportation service for over 100 years, since the 1910’s.

The 2 ferry operation (12 car and a 9 car) runs daily, year-round.

You must have a valid passport, enhanced drivers licence, or NEXUS card to present to customs to enter either country.
