Rogers City, Michigan, home of the world’s largest limestone quarry, hosts an awesome wwek-long nautical festival every year, the Rogers City Nautical Festival!
Food vendors, beer tents, craft show, carnival rides, all things nautical and more!
You can see the 65-foot long Appledore V ship at the Great Lakes Lore Maritime Museum (367 N. 3rd St). Also, the largest Native American Powwow ever will be held on the lawn of the museum!
There will be a ton of activity at Courthouse Square (151 East Huron Street) and Lakeside Park (207 South Lake St).
10-acre waterfront Lakeside Park features the Sailors Memorial for the 1958 Carl D. Bradley and 1965 Cedarville, two steel steamers that went down, taking many sailors lives with them. Lakeside Park is right on the beautiful Rogers City Yacht Harbor and features the 140-slip city marina, Rogers City Marina.
