Chris Cornell‘s funeral is today at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
Cornell, a Seattle rock music legend, took his own life in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 after playing a sold-out show at Detroit’s beautiful Fox Theater to over 5,000+ cheering fans.
The details are still murky but he supposedly went back to his hotel room #1136 at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino Hotel and hung himself after od’ing on Ativan, an anti-anxiety drug.
Cornell’s roadie said that “Chris was nervous about playing in Detroit, the music capital of the world, so he took some extra Ativan maybe.”
