4:00 PM — Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979)
This is Monty Python’s famously controversial satire about Brian, a man born near Jesus who is mistakenly treated as a messiah. It was controversial enough to be banned or restricted in various places after release, but subsequently became regarded as one of the great comedy films.
7:00 PM — Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
This is arguably Monty Python’s most famous movie and one of the quintessential cult comedies. It’s the absurd King Arthur adventure responsible for the killer rabbit, Knights Who Say “Ni!”, French taunting, coconut horses and countless other jokes that became part of comedy culture.
Admission is “Pay What You Can,” rather than a normal fixed movie ticket.
The GLCFA has a 45-foot cinema screen with Dolby theatrical surround sound inside an intimate 525-seat theater.
