That’s right, folks!
Over 30 years later, the McBarge is still afloat.
Friendship 500 (the sappy, official, 80’s-tastic title of the McBarge) was built for the 1986 World Expo, which was held in Vancouver, Canada.
The McBarge is 187 feet long and cost $8 million dollars to build.
It is abandoned but still floating at Berry Point, Burrard Inlet, Vancouver.
