Teams from the U.S., Mexico, France, and Germany will face off at Turtle Creek Stadium in Traverse City on Sept. 9 for the inaugural International Fireworks Championship.
Each of the four teams, which have qualified by winning similar competitions, will produce a fireworks display with musical accompaniment that will be formally judged.
The public, however, will have the final say on the winner of the competition.
