Local author Bruce Kopytek takers a look at the fascinating world of steam travel in the first half of the twentieth century, when D&C Lake Lines’ majestic luxury liners were a regular sight on one of the world’s great waterways, the Great Lakes.
The golden age of passenger steamships on the Great Lakes, was roughly from the late 1800s through the 1950s.
The Detroit & Cleveland Navigation Company (D&C) was one of the largest passenger steamship companies on the Great Lakes.
