Santarchy began in San Francisco, founded by a group of miscreants who call themselves the Cacophony Society.
Detroit Santarchy was founded several years ago by Len Puch and Tina Von Speedcult.
Each year they draw up a list of Detroit bars, with 45 minutes allotted for each stop.
Buy your bus pass the night of the event.
All participating bars are announced the night of the event on your bus pass. This year there are two dozen bars all with entertainment from Live Bands, DJ’s, to Karaoke.
Jump on a bus to the next bar every 10 minutes.
ALL participating bars require the Detroit Santarchy Bus Pass for entry or you will have to pay a cover charge at each bar.
Costumes are mandatory or you will be banished to the south pole. No ugly Christmas sweaters! We encourage full holiday costumes to make this fun!
On average, over 2,000 Santas get together for this to drink and be merry.
