Deep Purple are one of the foundational bands of hard rock and heavy metal.
Formed in England in 1968, they’re commonly grouped with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath as bands that established the blueprint for heavy rock in the early 1970s.
They released a brand-new studio album, SPLAT!, on July 3, 2026. The band says it is their heaviest album in years.
