As the celebrity guest coach, he will coach first base during the game, among other things.

Meet n’ greet afterwards!

Cecil Fielder is best remembered as one of the most feared power hitters in Major League Baseball and one of the greatest sluggers in Detroit Tigers history. After revitalizing his career with a season in Japan, he returned to Detroit in 1990 and immediately became the face of the franchise, hitting 51 home runs and driving in 132 RBIs while earning an All-Star selection and a Silver Slugger Award. His 51 home runs made him the first player since George Foster in 1977 to reach the 50-home run milestone, helping usher in baseball’s power-hitting era of the 1990s.

Fielder became famous for hitting some of the longest home runs ever seen at historic Tiger Stadium, including a legendary blast that cleared the left-field roof in 1990, a feat accomplished by only a handful of players. From 1990 through 1992, he led the American League in RBIs for three consecutive seasons, cementing his reputation as one of baseball’s premier run producers. During his 13-year Major League career, Fielder was a three-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger, finished among the league’s top MVP vote-getters multiple times, hit 319 home runs, drove in 1,008 RBIs, and won a World Series championship with the New York Yankees in 1996.
