Calvin Johnson, famously known as “Megatron,” will be signing autographs at DC Sports.

Johnson is widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver in Detroit Lions history and one of the most physically dominant players ever to compete in the NFL.

Johnson combined exceptional size, strength, speed, and leaping ability, making him nearly impossible to defend. He became renowned for spectacular one-handed catches, acrobatic receptions in double and triple coverage, and his ability to consistently make game-changing plays despite opposing defenses focusing their entire game plan on stopping him.

Selected second overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, Johnson spent his entire nine-year NFL career (2007–2015) with the Detroit Lions, becoming the face of the franchise and one of the league’s premier offensive stars.

His greatest season came in 2012, when he set the still-standing NFL single-season receiving yards record with 1,964 receiving yards, breaking a long-standing mark previously held by Jerry Rice.

A six-time Pro Bowler, three-time First-team All-Pro, and the NFL’s receiving yards leader in 2011 and 2012, Johnson retired unexpectedly at age 30 while still playing at an elite level, leaving many to wonder what additional records he might have broken.

He was inducted as a first-ballot member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 and is consistently ranked alongside legends such as Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Larry Fitzgerald among the greatest wide receivers in NFL history.
