Wieners on the Water is a floating hot dog truck that cruises out to the sandbar on Devils Lake in Manitou Beach, Michigan in the beautiful Irish Hills region.
Owner Eric Funk of Adrian, Michigan, created the unusual food boat by mounting the body of a 1992 Chevy box van onto a pontoon.
On summer weekends, he anchors at the popular Devils Lake sandbar and serves boaters hot dogs, chips and pop, often selling more than 250 hot dogs in a single afternoon.
The menu includes the Funky Dog, a classic coney topped with chili, mustard and onions, plus a Mac Dog with mac and cheese, bacon bits and barbecue sauce.
Wieners on the Water typically operates weekends from Memorial Day-Labor Day, arriving at the sandbar around 12:30 p.m. and serving until roughly 4:30pm or until the hot dogs are gone.
