Cruising at 45 knots (52mph) the U.S. Navy’s new 378-foot long USS Milwaukee is fast!
This $700 million dollar 3500-ton Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is outfitted with AGM-176 Griffin missiles and a core crew of 50 (upped to 75 for mission crew).
The USS Milwaukee was delievered to the U.S. Navy at Marinette Marine in Wisconsin but will ultimately be homeported at U.S. Naval Base San Diego.
