The Metro Detroit area is known for great cars!
Grab some lawn chairs, fill some coolers with beer and food and find a good spot on Telegraph Road (US-24) from 9am-9pm for the Annual Telegraph Car Cruise!
Thousands of hot rodders and classic cars drive a 15-mile stretch from:
Taylor (Eureka & Telegraph)
through Dearborn and Dearborn Heights
up to Redford (Puritan & Telegraph)
No mini-bikes, golf carts or 4-wheelers. No burn outs. Do not throw bleach on the roadway.
Telegraph Road used to be part of the Saginaw Trail, an old dirt foot path for Indians.
The state of Michigan sign-posted its state highways in 1919.
Telegraph Road officially became U.S. 24 in 1926 when the United States implemented a Numbered Highway System.
