Goose Gossage will join Kirk Gibson, Alan Trammell and others for an ‘84 World Series retrospective event, “Strike Out Parkinson’s,” on Sunday, August 20 at Bowlero Lanes, located at 4209 Coolidge Highway in Royal Oak from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event, which will also feature food, bowling and a silent auction, will benefit The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s.

Gibson was diagnosed with the disease in 2015.

His foundation helps others who are living with Parkinson’s to improve their quality of life at no cost.

The highlight of the evening will be a 1984 World Series Q&A Panel hosted by Kirk Gibson, along with former teammate Alan Trammell, with an appearance by rival San Diego Padres pitcher Goose Gossage.  Gibson homered off of Gossage in Game 5 of the 1984 World Series.

Also, the organization is holding its 7th annual Kirk Gibson Golf Classic on Monday, August 21st at The Wyndgate Country Club in Rochester Hills. Gibson will be golfing along with the support of celebrities and current and former athletes including Alan Trammell, Goose Gossage, Larry “The Cable Guy,” Tom Izzo, and others.

You can also make a donation to the organization anytime.
