Anthony Kiedis is returning home to visit his native Michigan. That’s right, not many people know that the RHCP-frontman is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He now lives in Malibu but still visits Rockford, a suburb of Grand Rapids.
Another fun fact: when the Peppers first started recording albums in the early-1980’s, they recorded them at the Brooklyn, Michigan home of Parliament Funkadelic’s George Clinton!
RHCP drummer Chad Smith is a native Detroiter. He graduated Lahser High School.
During his Detroit visits, Anthony Kiedis has been spotted numerous times hanging out at D’Mongo’s Speakeasy in Downtown Detroit.
On Friday, February 3rd, before RHCP heads up to Toronto for a show on the 4th, you might be able to catch Anthony, Flea, Chad and Josh drinking at D’Mongo’s with owner Larry Mongo, if you’re lucky.
