It has been said that 5,000+ river tubers go on the annual Port Huron Float Down.
Started in 1977 and traditionally held the 3rd Sunday in August, the Port Huron Float Down is 8-miles long down the St. Clair River.
This is a fun day of river tubing rain or shine.
STARTS at
Lighthouse Beach (Omar Street & Garfield Street, Port Huron)
ENDS at
Chrysler Beach (River Road and Huron Road, Marysville)
You will need to park one car at Lighthouse and one car at Chrysler.
This event is FREE and is attended by all age groups of people.
People bring paddles, large floats, coolers, kayaks, etc. Come prepared!
Remember to wear a life jacket, use a sturdy inner tube, stay out of the shipping channel and don’t land in Canada (stay to the West side, the USA side) and have fun!
