Florida Police Department gives away $5,200 for ‘Secret Santa’ operation!

 – The Ocala Police Department distributed $5,200 in $100 bills to citizens throughout their city via random acts of generosity.

In one body cam video the OPD shared on social media, Sergeant Eric Hooper, was able to capture a heartwarming reaction on camera.

The officer pulled a woman over because her tags were expired.

The officer went on to ask if the woman was ready for Christmas. She replies “not really,” but admits that she is in the Christmas spirit.

“Well on behalf of the police department, this ought to make your Christmas a little brighter. Merry Christmas,” the officer says as he gives her a $100 bill.

The woman, with tears in her eyes, thanks the officer.
