Pee-wee Herman

Pee-wee Herman is back!

Pee-wee (played by Paul Reubens) was invented in 1979 as a comedy character. Reubens worked on the character with his good friend, comedy genius Phil Hartman.

Pee-wee’s heyday was:

Pee-wee’s Playhouse tv series (1986-90) and two movies, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (1985) and Big Top Pee-wee (1987).

 

Fun Facts:

Actors Laurence Fishburne, Natasha Lyonne and Jimmy Smits got their start on Pee-wee’s Playhouse.

Rob Zombie was a production assistant (PA) on Pee-wee’s Playhouse.

Benicio del Toro (played Duke the Dog Face Boy) and Dustin Diamond (played Young Deke) in their first movie roles ever in Big Top Pee-wee.
