That’s right, folks! 25-year old MSU grad Terry Johnson started a company called ‘Original Stix‘, which re-purposes game-used hockey sticks into cool polycarbonate iPhone cases!
Launched August 2014, Original Stix is currently based inside Bamboo Detroit (one of the top 100 business coworking spaces in the United States) and the phones are hand-assembled by disabled American war vets. Original Stix has sold over 5,000 cases since opening!
Terry Johnson played hockey for the St. Clair Shores youth league, then for De LaSalle Catholic HS in Warren, before attending MSU 2008-2012.
