The annual Nucleate Beer Festival takes place in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is organized by Homes Brewery.
This event brings people together to help raise money for Ozone House, a local shelter for homeless youth.
And what does nucleate mean?
For beer, nucleation is the process in which a small defect in the glass acts as the starting point for the formation of a CO2 bubble. In fact, many beer glasses and champagne flutes are nucleated, meaning they are purposefully etched, so that the dissolved CO2 in the beer has a place to gather and form larger bubbles.

DD TICKETS get no samples and there will be a zero tolerance policy — absolutely no drinking for these guests. Also, 2022 Nucleate Beer 750ml is not included… but, don’t forget to get your Nucleate Tasting Glass on the way out of the festival!
FESTIVAL INFO
START TIME: 1PM for VIP / 2PM for General Admission.
REMINDER: Bring your ticket (printed or digital) + valid ID (must be 21 to enter).
BOTTLE PICKUP: Available at HOMES brewpub during regular business hours 5/30-6/5, with valid ID of original ticket purchaser. If someone bought your ticket for you, they will also need to pick up your beer.
PARKING: There are 3 parking lots available: Maple Road (festival entry), Jackson Ave & Dexter Road.
REFRESHMENTS: Food & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Water containers are permitted—plenty of complimentary water stations.
