36 years ago Larry Bell, founder & owner of Bell’s Brewery, brewed Bell’s Beer, a malty ale that was one of his earliest recipes.
Recently brewed for another go around, Bell’s Beer is making a very special and exclusive return for a release in 6-pack bottles from their General Store and on tap at the Eccentric Café on Wednesday, June 23rd.

From 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday the 23rd, Larry will be available in our Beer Garden for poster signings, conversations and a cheers to this historic beer that has shaped Bell’s today.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF BELL’S ECCENTRIC CAFÉ RENOVATIONS:
June 11, 1993: Bell’s becomes the first Michigan brewery to open an onsite pub, the Eccentric Café, at 355 E. Kalamazoo Ave.
1996: Bell’s Beer Garden debuts in what was once a junkyard.
March 28, 2011: The Café reopens after a $3 Million renovation; updates include the addition of a state-of-the-art music venue, additional seating, a transformed Beer Garden, new patio and new main entryway.
2015: The Café’s restaurant debuts; from a 150-foot square kitchen to a full-sized kitchen in a space that was once used to brew and package beer. A new bar and additional draft options also added.
6-packs will be released in our General Store beginning at 11am.
Bell’s Beer will be available on tap in the Eccentric Café beginning at 3pm.
