The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, along with the FBI and United States Customs and Border Patrol, raided two so-called “massage spas” and two homes Wednesday, all in Macomb County.
They say both spas were fronts for what they believe was a prostitution and human trafficking operation.
The first was the 25 Health Spa (54798 Shelby Rd, Shelby Twp, MI).
The second Healing Plus Spa (39573 Mound Rd, Sterling Heights, MI).
Both have cloudy film over the doors and look unkempt. The two homes raided were in Macomb and Shelby townships.
In total, 12 people have been taken into custody. United States Customs and Border Patrol have six, and the sheriff has another six in custody.
