The Little People of America (LPA) National Conference is an annual gathering of people with dwarfism.
It was founded in 1957 by 3’9″ tall actor Billy Barty (he was in Masters of the Universe, Willow, Legend, etc) and has grown to encompass 73 local chapters and over 7,500 members.
Membership in LPA is limited to people 4’10” in or under.
There are over 200 different types of dwarfism, with achondroplasia being the most common
LPA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people with dwarfism, celebrate their contributions to society, and raise awareness about dwarfism-related issues.
