The Labadie Rib Fest will feature numerous BBQ competitors, national headliners playing shows, and plenty of other family-friendly activities to enjoy.
Tickets are $10 each day or a weekend pass for the entire festival can be purchased for $30. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate and are required for admission to the event.
A special addition this year will be a tribute to Art Dore, who died at the age of 86 in 2022. Dore and his family influenced many community events like the Pig Gig.
The following competitors will be at Rib Fest:
That Guy’s BBQ, Bay City
Smokin’ Bob-B-Que, Gladwin
Fatt Matt’s BBQ, Munger
Cowboys BBQ, Weatherford, Texas.
Off the Bone BBQ, Winchester, Ohio.
Johnson’s BBQ, Chesapeake, Virginia.
Blazin Bronco BBQ, Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Swine BBQ, Medina, Ohio.
Outlaw BBQ, Erie, Pennsylvania
After Hours, Orrville, Ohio
For shoppers, a special vendor market called the “Little Piggy Marketplace” will be set up throughout the festival. More than 40 area vendors will be showcasing their wares. The Little Piggy Marketplace was set up during the inaugural year.
A kids zone will also return this year, with pig racing, a petting zoo, an “oink oink bubble party” and a craft tent.
Rib Fest will also feature a few new additions this year. The Michigan Cornhole League will host a two-day long corn hole tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The Bay Area Runners Club will also be bringing back a 5K race for Rib Fest. A 5K was traditionally held during the old Pig Gig each year.
