Actor Josh Brolin and director Steven Soderbergh will be shooting a movie in Detroit called ‘Kill Switch‘ a 1950’s-era crime drama which will film in Detroit, Michigan from April-June.
Extras will be paid and will work 14 hour days.
Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh — who worked her on the 1998 classic caper “Out of Sight” (filmed in Detroit and based on the Elmore Leonard book)— will lead a cast that could include three stars of the “Avengers” franchise Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle and Sebastian Stan have been in talks to take starring roles, according to industry reporters.
Real Style, a Clawson-based talent agency will hold an open casting call for extras for the project.
Rose Gilpin and Kathy Remski, who are partners in Real Style, have worked on dozens of projects during and after the film incentives era, from “Batman v Superman” to “Transformers: Age of Extinction” to the beloved Comedy Central series “Detroiters.”
The open casting call is seeking a wide range of extras, including some “who look like they’re from the 1950’s” and also some who are familiar with police work, for a variety of scenes in the movie’s depiction of 1950s Detroit.
