Hunter S. Thompson’s Writing Cabin contains one of his desks in a peaceful home on his Owl Farm compound.
Under some circumstances, Hunter Thompson’s wife, Anita Thompson, who still lives in the main house, invites guests to see the private museum.
Because it is her private residence, a tour is not necessarily included in cabin stay. She does take special circumstances into consideration if there is a request to see the main house/private museum.
This classic cabin was owned by Hunter Thompson until his death in 2005.
Over the years, he hosted dozens of guests (including Bill Murray, Johnny Depp, etc), staff, and spent time in the main historic part of the cabin (now the master bedroom). It is full of Gonzo history with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen/bar/ living room area.
Cost to rent $1,200
