The Grand Traverse Lighthouse has been guiding ships and sailors since it was built in 1858.
It’s located inside beautiful Leelanau State Park in Northern Michigan and it is listed in the State and National Historic Register.
Every year they have an excellent Lobster Festival.
Dinner options include fresh Maine lobster or filet mignon (served Medium). Plus boiled redskin potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls, coleslaw, a cherry dessert, coffee, lemonade, beer and wine.
There are only 200 tickets available. And there will also be a silent auction.
All proceeds benefit the continued restoration and preservation of the historic Grand Traverse Lighthouse.
Bonus:
You can stay inside the Grand Traverse Lighthouse!
You have to book it in advance and you have to stay for a week and do some of the lighthouse duties.
