Frozen Dead Guy Days, one of Colorado’s most beloved annual events for more than 20 years, is kicking off a new chapter in Estes Park.
This macabre celebration centers around the cryogenically frozen corpse of Bredo Morstoel, a Norwegian corpse awaiting reanimation in the town. In honor of this bizarre resident, Nederland residents hosted the first installment of its festival in 2002.
Events include: coffin races, costume polar plunging, ice turkey bowling, frozen t-shirt contests, a parade of Hearses, a poetry slam, frozen salmon toss and snowy human Foosball.
Featuring live music and entertainment all weekend long, and will be held at the Estes Park Events Complex and The Stanley Hotel (aka: the hotel from The Shining), with satellite events occurring around town.
