In addition, a branded Freedom Boat Club National Safe Boating Week and boating safety social meme and poster was designed and distributed for posting on multiple platforms. In addition, our clubs are sharing safety-oriented blogs and images.

In addition, the company has partnered with and adopted the Sea Tow Foundation’s “Designated Skipper” program where its members take a pledge at the dock to respect the legal drinking age, take responsibility for passengers and to designate an observer and a sober skipper. Boaters can visit the designatedskipper.com website to join the initiative and “Take the Pledge.”

“We are very pleased to join our national franchise network in advocating for boating safety,” said Freedom Boat Club of Lake St. Clair Co-Owner, Steven Dobreff. “Boating safety is a major mission of Freedom Boat Club 365 days a year.”

In 2016 alone, Freedom Boat Club members took more than 180,000+ trips throughout North America. The company includes mandatory boater education and training as part of its membership package, taught by licensed Coast Guard Captains. Members enjoy free, unlimited training throughout the duration of their membership.

“We invite the community to come and learn about our safe boating and membership programs,” added Dobreff. “Our goal is to not only provide affordable alternatives to get people on the water but to make sure they are educated about boating safety so they are confident on the water.”
