Detroit techno veteran DJ Stingray is coming back.
DJ Stingray (aka: Stingray313, real name Sherard Ingram) has been spinning since the mid-1980’s when he would practice with Kenny ‘Moodymann’ Dixon after school.
Stingray’s first gig was spinning at The Outcast Motorcycle Club at Woodrow Wilson & Fullerton in the heart of Detroit.
After that, it was Urban Tribe, Dexciya, other classics and beyond.
On his trademark ski mask, Stingray has said, “The ski-mask is a statement against the personality cult mentality. It should be about the music, not the ego.”
These days, Stingray is based in Berlin, Germany.
