Detroit River Prohibition Boat Tour

During Prohibition, 75% of liquor entering the United States came through the “Detroit-Windsor Funnel,” and the Detroit River became the epicenter of the booze smuggling trade.

The Detroit River Prohibition Boat Tour is a special prohibition boat tour with dinner + cash bar.

On the largest of the Diamond Jack boats, you will cruise to the eastern end of the Detroit River, then west past the Ambassador Bridge.

Detroit River Prohibition Boat Tour

Your guide (a descendant of bootleggers and a Detroit historian) will regale you of stories of those brave men and women who saw Prohibition as an economic opportunity. She will point out areas of interest along the Detroit and Windsor shorelines and will also display her collection of Prohibition artifacts.

In addition, a retired member of the Detroit Police Harbormaster’s Division will talk about treasures found on the river bottom!
