The Detroit Red Wings Training Camp is the team’s final preparation and evaluation period before the season.

Established players, new acquisitions, prospects and roster hopefuls will participate in practices, drills and scrimmages while competing for positions on the opening-night roster.

The 2026 camp is particularly significant because it is the Red Wings’ first main training camp in Detroit in nearly 30 years. The team traditionally held it at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City but moved the event to Little Caesars Arena this year.

Detroit will also host a four-team Prospect Tournament from September 12–15, featuring young players from the Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins and Dallas Stars.

Detroit’s top young players will compete in real games.

Carter Bear is the biggest player to watch.

Nate Danielson already has NHL experience.

Trey Augustine, the goaltender from Michigan State, had an excellent junior season.
