Port wine, especially Tawny Port, is delicious. It’s a Portuguese fortified wine produced in the Douro Valley of northern Portugal.

It is typically a sweet red wine, often served with dessert, although it also comes in dry, semi-dry, and white varieties.

Tawny Port, for example, is a slightly sweet, complex, and brownish-red wine is barrel-aged in wooden casks. Aged tawnies are rich and soft wines aged for 10, 20, 30, or 40 years.

Sandeman Tawny Port

Sandeman has been making wine since the year 1790. They are the most awarded Port Wine brand in the world. You can even tour their cellars in Portugal. One of their best-sellers is the Sandeman Apitiv Reserve White Port.

Opened in 1882, The Detroit Club is Detroit’s oldest private social club, and one of the most prestigious in the nation.

The club features over 45,000 square feet and 3-floors of decadence. Downstairs is the Library Cocktail Lounge and on the 3rd floor is the Lafayette Room.
