But back in the 1700’s, you truly had to be a master artist of the highest caliber to get recognized.
‘Veiled Truth‘ is a sculpture from the Rococo period created by Antonio Corradini. He created it over 250 years ago in 1752.
He carved this baby out of marble. Marble!
The figure represents Pudicizia (modesty). It’s a tomb monument dedicated to Cecilia Gaetani dell’Aquila d’Aragona, mother of Raimondo di Sangro, the Prince of Sansevero.
