One of the more bizarrely cool items we’ve seen at JobbieCrew is the original Margaret Thatcher Spitting Image puppet currently being sold by Paul Fraser Collectibles in Bristol, England.
Spitting Image was a British adult comedy show 1984-1996 of adult puppets and one of their most popular caricatures was British Prime Minister Margaret ‘Eat the Poor’ Thatcher. Her puppet was voiced by Steve Nallon.
Thatcher was PM 1979-1990 at Number 10 Downing Street before becoming Baroness Thatcher in the House of Lords. At the 1979 Tokyo Economic Summit, she was offered (but refused) a posse of 20 “Karate Ladies” for security guards!
In 2004, her son Mark Thatcher, was arrested for funding Simon Mann’s coup d’etat of Equatorial Guinea.
