After this election, it’s only fitting you should own and live in an insane asylum. You do already, you just don’t know it.
Eloise Insane Asylum (30600 Michigan Ave, Westland, Michigan) was the Wayne County Poorhouse from 1839-1913 when it became a functional insane asylum until 1984.
Eloise became a 980-acre complex featuring 76 buildings. At it’s height, the asylum had 12,000 inmates.
In the 1950’s, it was literally something out of ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest‘ with drooling patients getting lobotomies and electroshock therapy.
150,000-square foot ominously named “Building D” still stands. You will inherit this and 150-acres, if you buy this spooky property.
Eloise used to bury people down the street in an anonymous Potters Field (3618 Henry Ruff rd, Westland). Those bodies and thousands of marked & unmarked graves are still there.
