Used majorly by U.S. Marines – for its ability to handle both land and sea operations – the AAV can accommodate a total of 28 personnel consisting of 3 crew and 25 Marines.
Officially titled AAV-P7/A1, this fully-tracked amphibious landing vehicle is manufactured by BAE Systems.
Also, it can travel up to 300 miles on land as well as 20 nautical miles at sea.
When driven on a paved road, the AAV can attain a speed of 45 miles per hour.
