The Annual Hostage Negotiation Competition (officially re-titled Crisis Negotiation Competition & Seminar) is 3-days long and features 30 teams competing in mock hostage negotiation exercises and kidnapper role-playing.
They deal with barricades, domestic situations, high-risk suicides, etc. One seminar is even entitled ‘Negotiation with a Voodoo practitioner‘.
Building advanced skills is the goal of this competition. All 350 participants are evaluated by top experts in the field.
