The SatchVai Band, comprised of guitar greats Joe Satriani & Steve Vai, is coming to Michigan.
In the 1970s, Steve Vai was actually a teenager studying guitar under Joe Satriani before both became famous, so their connection goes way back.
Their concerts are known for extremely advanced guitar playing, speed, precision, harmonies, and improvisation.
Fun fact:
Steve Vai played with Frank Zappa primarily from 1980 to 1983. Vai first connected with Zappa as a teenager after transcribing Zappa’s incredibly difficult guitar solos and mailing them to him. Zappa was so impressed that he hired him. Vai’s official role included guitar, transcription work, and performing extremely difficult parts that other musicians often could not play.
