On the Saginaw River in Saginaw, Michigan, Joseph Johnson was fishing with a Rapala walleye lure when he felt a tug. Suddenly it was a battle.
It took Joseph over an hour to reel in his catch. When he did, he found much to his surprise that it was a 6-foot long sturgeon!
Joseph released the fish but the catch is significant because the fish was an estimated 80-years old and there’s less than 100 sturgeon in the 22-mile long Saginaw River.
