Distinguished by handlebar horns and long hair, Yaks are the high-altitude bovine cousin of the cow. They typically graze the grasslands in Tibet and Mongolia and….yes, Michigan.
The city of Mancelona, Michigan is about 15 east of Torch Lake.
Take a wagon ride into the pasture with the yaks, have a bite to eat, pick a pumpkin from the patch, learn about yaks, get your hands on yak products, and enjoy family friendly activities.
Wagon rides, pumpkin patch, walking trail and farm store will be open all day; complimentary donuts and coffee served in the morning until 11 and lunch will be available for purchase from 12 noon to 2:30.
