From then NY POST Transexual glamor model Mia Maffia became one of the first British women to have butt implants, and nearly died when they exploded – but now she is back for more.
Maffia, 26, was left in agony after her first “bubble butt” surgery in 2015, but is now seeking to have hip implants, a procedure know as buttocks bioplasty, made from the same chemical formula as glass.
Maffia revealed that she plans to go abroad to South America for the glass hip surgery in January 2018 and will be the first person in the UK to have both hip and butt implant surgeries.
The surgery follows two boob jobs, a second butt implant procedure in Belgium to correct the first and various cosmetic surgeries on her face.
Speaking to the Mirror, the webcam girl and porn star said that she knew her previous butt implants would “look amazing” but due to her hips would still make her look slim.
She confessed: “So I started researching and found a clinic in Colombia that did hip implants surgery.”
“Unlike boobs and butt implants that use silicone, they use PMMA – a chemical found in glass to fill the hips and make fibers inside that they spread and harden.”
Maffia admits that with any surgery there is a risk, but said people tend to focus on the few that go wrong rather than the millions that go right.
She said the surgeon she has picked for her glass hip implants specializes in the technique and sees women fly in from all over the world to get it done at the Colombian clinic.
She said: “I’d never say no to more surgery, why would I? Having the perfect body has made me so happy. Men can’t get enough of me and looking like I do makes me money as a model.”
“Of course I get criticism for having so much surgery, but it’s my body and I do with it as I choose. If I can look back on life and say I created the ultimate body for myself – I’ll be totally satisfied with life.”
Tim Goodacre, Cosmetic Surgery lead for the Royal College of Surgeons said to the Sun Online: “A growing number of patients are opting to have cosmetic surgery procedures at private healthcare providers outside of the UK that offer appealing packages, often at a lower cost than UK providers.”
“We urge those patients that are considering having cosmetic surgery abroad not to simply go for the cheapest option, and to ensure they extensively research the surgeon and the procedure before committing to surgery.”
“The standards of regulation of cosmetic surgery in other countries are sometimes poorer and plastic surgeons see a number of patients each year who have had poor quality surgery abroad.”
“It’s also important to think about how you will be cared for once you’ve returned from abroad if something goes wrong.”
“The [National Health Service] is unlikely to be able to help you, unless you have a serious complication, which needs emergency or life-saving treatment.”
Earlier this year Maffia also hit headlines for claiming she was forced to sleep with a knife beside her bed after a crazed fan got her home address through her Amazon wish list.
Maffia created the wish list so her 68,700 Twitter followers could send her “treats.”
Items on her current list include candy, leather boots, an iPhone and a hookah-pipe shaped like a sex toy.
