WATCH: U.S. Navy Tomahawk Cruise Missile Hits Moving Target at Sea
This incredible video shows what is believed to be the first live test firing of a U.S. Navy Tomahawk cruise missile on a moving target at sea.
The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command test was conducted in January 2015 off the coast of Southern California.
The unclassified video of the test, which was first obtained by USNI News, shows the missile launch from the guided missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG-100) before punched through a stacked shipping container on the moving target and skipping across the ocean. The first part of the video was filmed from a F/A-18 Super Hornet as it chased the missile to its target
