Wasteland Weekend is a 5-day post-apocalyptic Mad Max-style party in the Mojave desert.

This is a full immersion event, meaning that all participants required to adhere to the set theme. Costumes are required.

Join an estimated 5,000 attendees. There’s also themed campsites and themed vehicles, which are encouraged, but not required.

They require costumes because they don’t want there to be a distinction between participants and onlookers (like there are at many other events). Uncostumed attendees would take away from the environment they’re creating.
