Project Brotherhood Resolve is founded to address the growing problem of Veteran Homelessness and Veteran Suicide through intervention.
Veteran Joe Gemayel founded Project Brotherhood Resolve (PBR) in 2016, a Lapeer, Michigan-based nonprofit organization after a brother-in-arms committed suicide.
Every year, they host a great Art Show featuring artwork by veterans for sale.
Gemayel says PBR will host the gallery, comedy show, sip-and-paint activity and other activities over the course of a weekend.
They will conduct a military ceremony to open the event. This includes a presentation of the colors, the national anthem, a benediction and the folding of the flag by the Young Marines.
The opening gala will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31; sip and paint will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, and the Battle of the Branches comedy show will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on that same day. A brunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, with a band to follow from 2 to 4 p.m.
Admission for the sip-and-paint activity is $25 for adults and $10 for kids (who will sip apple juice). The comedy show has a $30 admission charge, and the gala and brunch are free.
