Thanks to The Eastern Echo for this:
Eastern Michigan University has announced a performance by The Temptations, a well-known singing group, and the EMU Marching Band, the “Pride of the Peninsula,” at halftime during the EMU vs Miami University football game, Saturday, October 12, at Rynearson Stadium.
Detroit native and EMU alum, Jawan M. Jackson, joined The Temptations in 2022, and will be making his way back to his alma mater for this highly anticipated performance.
The Temptations originated in Detroit during the 1960s. After signing with Motown Records, the group helped to completely re-shape the music industry with their unique harmonies and style.
EMU is offering a limited access meet and greet/photo opportunity prior to their halftime performance, with a professional photo included. These tickets, priced at $100, are expected to sell quickly. They are priced per family so the experience can include children of all ages. A ticket to the Oct. 12 football game is required to participate in the meet and greet/photo opportunity.
