On May 16th, 2018, a rancher in Denton, Montana finally saw the beast who had been terrorizing his livestock, so he fatally shot it.
Upon closer inspection, the creature was certainly unusual.
Some scientists think it might be a rare type of wolf-dog hybrid but no one knows for sure.
The Denton Werewolf, as its come to be called, is currently being studied at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Lab in Ashland, Oregon.
